About the Foundation

We are a registered charity dedicated to advancing environmental education, research, and equitable access to green careers. We support individuals, educators, and organizations in building a more sustainable future.

While ECO Canada focuses on workforce development and certification in the environmental sector, the ECO Foundation is the charitable arm that supports access to education, scholarships, and research through donor funding and partnerships.

Programs & Services

Our programs are open to students, job seekers, and professionals looking to build or strengthen their skills in environmental sciences. Many are available online, and some are tailored to individuals facing systemic or financial barriers.

NOS outline the skills, knowledge, and competencies required for jobs in the environmental sector. We help develop and maintain these standards in collaboration with industry experts to ensure training aligns with real-world needs.

Land Acknowledgment

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we recognize all Nations who live, work and play on this land and honour and celebrate this territory.
