What is the ECO Foundation?
We are a registered charity dedicated to advancing environmental education, research, and equitable access to green careers. We support individuals, educators, and organizations in building a more sustainable future.
How is the ECO Foundation different from ECO Canada?
While ECO Canada focuses on workforce development and certification in the environmental sector, the ECO Foundation is the charitable arm that supports access to education, scholarships, and research through donor funding and partnerships.
Programs & Services
Who can participate in your training programs?
Our programs are open to students, job seekers, and professionals looking to build or strengthen their skills in environmental sciences. Many are available online, and some are tailored to individuals facing systemic or financial barriers.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Visit our Scholarships page to view eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and how to submit your application. Awards typically range from $1,000 to $20,000 and are sent directly to educational institutions.
Are your research publications available to the public?
Yes! All of our labour market and environmental sector research is published and available for free on our website under Research & Insights.
What are National Occupational Standards (NOS)?
NOS outline the skills, knowledge, and competencies required for jobs in the environmental sector. We help develop and maintain these standards in collaboration with industry experts to ensure training aligns with real-world needs.
